Rammalóðin Campsite lies opposite the police station. It’s part of the same campground network but has a slightly quieter feel than the Harbour site.

Why it’s special:

• Close to town services (restaurants, shops) yet slightly removed from the busiest areas.
• Provides toilets and electricity, campers can access showers/laundry in the central building.
• Great choice for visitors who want easy access to town life without being right at the busy harbour.

Rammalóðin works well for those arriving without advance booking or who prefer a central spot with a bit more calm.

• Adults (16 years and older): 1,800 ISK
• Seniors and disabled guests: 1,500 ISK
• Children: Free
• Overnight tax: 400 ISK
• Electricity: 1,400 ISK
• Washing machine: 700 ISK

The campsite is open from 15 May to 15 October, subject to weather and conditions.
