Súðavík Campsite is a fully serviced camping ground in the old part of Súðavík in the Westfjords. It opened in 2005 and sits above the community centre with wide views of the surrounding mountains, including Mount Kofra to the west and Mount Kambsnes to the east.

Location & Surroundings

The campsite is located in the “old village” of Súðavík, close to the Raggagarður family park with play areas and community space . It provides easy access to walking and hiking trails, including routes to Mount Kofra, and is a short walk to the village centre with a grocery store, bank, post office, and the Arctic Fox Centre .

By road, Ísafjörður is about a 15‑minute drive west, and heading east leads toward Hólmavík through the scenic fjords of Ísafjarðardjúp .

The campsite is usually open from early June to mid‑September, matching the Icelandic summer travel season .
