Korpudalur Campsite is a campsite next to the Korpudalur HI Hostel in the Önundarfjörður area of the Westfjords, set amid mountains and natural wetlands near Flateyri and Ísafjörður.

The campsite provides a range of services for a comfortable summer stay:

Location & Surroundings

The site lies in a dramatic fjord landscape surrounded by high mountains and wetlands where birdlife, including waterfowl and eagles, can be observed.  It’s a good base for hiking, bird watching, climbing, and angling, with trails directly from the campsite and easy access to nearby towns.

The restored farmhouse hostel next door offers additional facilities and a communal kitchen for campers, and the area is about 15–20 minutes’ drive from Ísafjörður and 12 km from Flateyri, providing access to shops, services, and activities like swimming and kayaking.

Korpudalur HI Hostel Campsite is typically open in the summer season, offering a scenic and practical base for exploring the natural beauty of the Westfjords.
