Breiðavík Campsite is a seasonal campground in the Westfjords on the road to the Látrabjarg bird cliffs, known for its wide sandy bay and dramatic coastal scenery. It’s a popular stop for travellers heading toward Látrabjarg and visitors exploring the remote western edge of Iceland’s Westfjords.

The campsite offers a solid range of services for a comfortable summer stay:

The campsite is located near Breiðavíkurkirkja church and offers views of the bay and surroundings as you travel toward Látrabjarg — one of Europe’s largest bird cliffs.  It’s a great base for beach walks, birdwatching, and coastal hikes in the region.

Breiðavík Campsite is typically open from May 1 to September 30, matching the Icelandic summer travel season.
